#ЕУТопЈобс - # В4 тврди да Тиммерманс негативно гледа на Источну Европу
Arriving at this morning's (2 July) continuation of the European Council special summit on the EU's top jobs, Andrej Babiš, prime minister of the Czech Republic, said that the V4 would not be supporting the Social Democrat (S&D) candidate, current European Commission Vice President Frans Timmermans (На слици), пише Кетрин Феоре.
The Visegrad 4 (V4 - Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovak Republic) claim that Timmermans has negative views of Eastern European countries. He did not try to substantiate this claim. In his current role, Timmermans has opposed the demise of the rule of law in many of these same states, and Babiš himself faced the largest demonstrations since the fall of Communism in Prague concerning credible accusations of illegal use of European Structural Funds.
Although Babiš is from Spitzenkandidat hopeful Margrethe Vestager's political group (Renew Europe), he said it was not a question of supporting one party or another, it was about his opposition to Timmermans and his support for migration quotas. He also said that Vestager did not have enough support in the European Parliament.
